Acquiring a Coin of Restoration by slaying monsters in Mirages allows any unique obtained from the Afarud to be transformed into its Maraketh counterpart. Its glorious original form. Fleshrender, for example, transforms into Skysunder: the original Maraketh blade that radiates with the glowing heat of the desert sun. When you ignite monsters, Skysunder reflects that ignite back to you, which proliferates to nearby enemies in a massive area.

Key Mechanics Analysis(AI)

1. The Poison Ceiling

"Cannot Poison Enemies with at least 12 Poisons on them"

This is the weapon's most significant constraint. Normally, Poison can stack infinitely in Path of Exile. By capping it at 12, this sword forces you to focus on Poison Duration and Damage per Poison rather than sheer attack speed. Once you hit 12 stacks, your DPS from new poisons drops to zero until an old stack expires.

2. The Multi-Inflict Synergy

"Inflict 3 additional Poisons on the same Target..."

This is the "burst" mechanic. Every single hit counts as 4 poisons (1 base + 3 additional). This means you reach your 12-stack maximum in just 3 hits.

  • The Benefit: You reach peak DPS almost instantly.
  • The Math: If your poisons last 4 seconds, you only need to attack 0.75 times per second to maintain the cap. Anything faster is "wasted" for poison application but still useful for the physical hit damage.

3. The Wither Payoff

"Wither on Hit... against Enemies with at least 12 Poisons on them"

Since you hit the 12-poison cap almost instantly, nearly every subsequent hit will apply Wither. Wither increases Chaos Damage taken by 6% per stack (up to 15 stacks). This provides a massive 90% increased damage taken multiplier, which is essential since you can't stack more than 12 poisons.

Strategic Overview

FeatureImpact
Base TypeExquisite Blade provides a massive +50% Global Crit Multi, which pairs well with the "Perfect Agony" keystone.
Physical BaseHigh local physical scaling (229%) is vital because Poison damage scales off the base Physical/Chaos damage of the hit.
Damage over TimeThe +35% DoT Multiplier is a generic, powerful boost to the poison ticks.

Potential Build Path: "Perfect Agony" Critical Poison

Because this is an Exquisite Blade with a local Crit Chance modifier, the most effective way to use it is likely through the Perfect Agony keystone. This converts your Critical Strike Multiplier into Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments.

The Goal: Make those 12 poisons hit like absolute trucks.
