How to get Divine Blast?
Divine Blast is now offered to the Templar for completing Sever the Right Hand, and can be purchased from Clarissa by the Marauder and Scion.
Core Mechanics
It is a shield-based attack that focuses on holy energy and area-of-effect damage.
Mechanic: Projects a beam of holy light from your shield to a targeted location, causing an initial implosion of holy energy. This energy lingers briefly before erupting in a larger, more damaging explosion.
Flat Damage Scaling: It gains significant flat damage based on shield stats (e.g., Armour or Energy Shield), similar to other shield skills like Shield Crush.
Not a Melee Skill: Unlike most shield attacks, Divine Blast does not have the "Melee" tag. This means it cannot benefit from Melee-specific support gems (like Melee Physical Damage or Multistrike) or passive nodes restricted to melee attacks.
No Projectile Tag: Despite projecting a beam, it does not have the "Projectile" tag, so it cannot benefit from modifiers like Far Shot or Pierce.
Damage Scaling: Because it lacks Melee/Projectile tags, players often scale it through generic Attack, Physical, Elemental, or Area damage. It is considered a strong candidate for Ignite builds due to its high base damage and "Fire" tag.
Divine Blast emits a beam of holy light from your shield, coalescing into a hovering ball of energy. A few moments later, this unstable orb bursts, exploding outward with divine power.
Build Guide
Champion: Often used for its defensive layers and ability to scale base critical strike chance, which can help Divine Blast outscale other shield skills in the late game.
Juggernaut/Chieftain: Popular for fire-based or ignite versions, focusing on endurance charge stacking and high physical-to-fire conversion.
Conversion & Trinity: Some players use physical-to-lightning conversion to easily reach 100% elemental conversion and utilize the Trinity Support gem.
